Lunar on the Goldy

Lunar on the Goldy will be Electric

Lunar Electric bring you the third installment in their festival resume on 13th of March 2021 at the Gold Coast’s Doug Jennings Park, and it is shaping up to be an event you will talk about for the rest of the year.

Bushfires and extreme heatwaves seen last year’s Maitland event cancelled and Covid quashing a second event in Queensland and any rescheduling opportunities, Lunatics have had to wait over two years for their top-up of festival fun and with March so close they can now almost taste it.

This festival originated in Port Macquarie on the NSW Mid North Coast but after only two events it was obvious they had outgrown the facilities in the area so a new location was needed. Enter the Gold Coast, QLD. The event has found a home on the GC, which is one of Australia’s popular festival destinations. Given the current regulations in other states regarding events, the team at Lunar Electric need to be congratulated, making the move was almost visionary. This event always has a great energy and defiantly would not be the Lunar we know and love, seated.

The team really deliver with the Australian only line up, top-notch as usual. With the biggest names in genre including the charismatic Timmy Trumpet and the King himself Will Sparks. Joel Fletcher, Bomb’s Away, Jesse Bloch all return to the Lunar Electric stage with new additions to the lineup (but definitely not to the festival scene) in Bonka, Sunset Bros and DJ Havana Brown. The unexpected addition of Holligans Hefs to the artists listing has fans scampering for tickets and people wondering if the Sunset Bros will join them on stage for ‘The Hefs’ monster hit ‘No Effect’ which the ‘Bros’ remixed in 2019.

MFA cant wait to hit the Goldy for the first time in 2021 and we thank Ticketbooth and the Lunar Team especially Simon, Katrina and Shaun for looking after us.

All I can say is …….. Is it March yet ?!?!
