Top 4 Songs that influence Dulcie

1. ‘Landslide’ - The Chicks: This song soundtracked my childhood living up north in the Pilbra. It has a nostalgic quality to it now that always grounds me back to that state of simplicity and peace. It’s pretty amazing to be in a 3 part harmony based girl group of my own now, and I can see how ‘The Chicks' influenced my passion and love for music from an early age. (ASH CARR-WHITE)

FOREVER & ALWAYS - TAYLOR SWIFT"

This song has always been a childhood favourite of mine, I can remember listening to Taylor swift when i was 8-9 years old and connecting to her lyrics although i had never experienced heartbreak or romance, there was just something there i felt so deeply, looking back at it now I can see it as a whole, her lyrics, songwriting, sound, instrumentation, storytelling and passion for music shone through her songs and projected onto each and every young aspiring musician like myself and really gave me a next level drive for playing music. I feel as though Taylor has 100% had a huge input into my "pop" writing side and I hope that when people listen to our songs they can experience what I felt back in 2007. (SASKIA BRITTAIN)

Never gonna be the same - Mia Wray

This has been one of my favourite songs for a long time. It’s rooted around the theme of self-empowerment - serving as a reminder to “back yourself”. Whenever I listen to this song it makes me feel like I can achieve anything I want and gives me strength to believe in myself and know my worth. We were lucky enough to support her in Perth for her ‘Stay Awake’ Australian tour -  I was absolutely gobsmacked by her stage presence, vulnerability, and vocal ability. Her writing style and production of this song is something that I really gravitate towards and resonate with. (TIMIEKA DENTON)

RED EYES- THE WAR ON DRUGS

‘Red eyes’ by ‘The War On Drugs’ is my all time favourite song. Everything I want to hear in a song is there, whenever I'm feeling down, or a bit sad, this is the song that inspires me to get up! get going! and be happy! This song has more of  a nostalgic feeling for me that converts over to an inspirational feeling... if that makes sense haha. For me I am a huge fan of dreamy alt/rock sounds, and this song literally has it all. I heard this song in high school and listened to it everyday on the bus to and from school. This song will never get old to me and for sure will be playing at my future wedding. (SASKIA BRITTAIN)
