San Cisco - Under The Light Australian Tour
San Cisco’s show at The Forum Melbourne felt like hanging out with old friends who happen to be incredibly talented musicians. From the moment they stepped on stage, the vibe was easygoing and fun, with the kind of warm energy that made everyone in the room feel at home.
They kicked things off with crowd-pleasers like ‘Awkward’ and ‘Too Much Time Together’, and it wasn’t long before the whole place was singing along. Jordi Davieson’s vocals were smooth and laid-back, and Scarlett Stevens kept things tight behind the drums, adding her harmonies into the mix just right. Their chemistry was easy to feel, nothing felt forced, just a bunch of good vibes bouncing between the band and the crowd.
The setlist was a perfect blend of old favourites and newer tracks from ‘Between You and Me’. Songs like ‘Messages’ and ‘Skin’ slowed things down, adding a little bit of dreaminess to the night, while the delivery of ‘When I Dream’ turned the whole place into a dance party. There was this really cool acoustic moment with ‘Reasons’ too, where they stripped things back and gave everyone a chance to just soak in the lyrics.
The band kept things chill between songs, sharing little stories and chatting with the crowd like it was just another night out. Everyone was laughing and cheering, feeling like we were all in on something special. By the time they wrapped up with a few last big tracks, the energy was electric, and it felt like no one wanted the night to end.
All in all, San Cisco put on a show that was fun, effortless, and seriously uplifting. Walking out of the Forum, there was this collective feeling of '“that was exactly what we needed”.
Thanks goes to San Cisco, Glen & the Untitled Group, Select Music, Island City Records, triple j and The Forum for having MKA along.
