Bliss N Eso & Drapht - Live At The Gardens
In the final show in the Live At The Gardens series on Sunday night in Melbourne had the kind of energy that only Australian hip-hop crowds seem to bring, and when Drapht and Bliss n Eso shared the stage it felt less like a standard gig and more like a celebration of how far the scene has come. Both acts have been part of the fabric of Aussie hip-hop for years, and seeing them on the same bill gave the night a real sense of history.
Drapht kicked things off with a set that balanced charisma and confidence. His stage presence has always been relaxed but sharp, and that came through clearly as he moved through his songs with ease. The crowd knew the words and weren’t shy about shouting them back, turning the room into a full singalong at times. Drapht has a way of making a room feel friendly and open, and it set the tone perfectly for the rest of the night.
When Bliss n Eso hit the stage, the energy immediately jumped another level. The trio have always been known for their high-energy live shows, and they didn’t hold back here. Their chemistry on stage is still one of their strongest assets, bouncing off each other constantly and feeding off the reaction from the crowd. The crowd was moving almost the entire time, with hands in the air and voices carrying across the venue.
What made the night work so well was the shared connection between the artists and the audience. Both Drapht and Bliss n Eso have spent years building loyal followings across Australia, and you could feel that loyalty in the Gardens on Sunday night. There was a sense that people weren’t just there for a show—they were there because these songs had been part of their lives for a long time.
The performances themselves were tight, confident, and full of personality. There was no need for over-the-top production or gimmicks. The music, the energy, and the crowd interaction carried everything.
By the time the night had properly found its rhythm, it felt like a reminder of how strong Australia’s hip-hop community really is. Drapht and Bliss n Eso delivered exactly what fans hoped for—an energetic, nostalgic, and genuinely fun night that celebrated the spirit of the scene they helped build.
