Glass Animals - Tour Of Earth

Glass Animals brought their signature blend of dreamy beats and vibrant energy to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 20, turning the iconic outdoor venue into an electric, kaleidoscopic wonderland. The night was a perfect pairing of their genre-bending sound and Melbourne’s crisp spring air, creating an atmosphere that felt alive with colour and rhythm.

From the moment the band hit the stage, the crowd was completely swept up in their infectious energy. Frontman Dave Bayley’s dynamic presence was magnetic—he danced, jumped, and interacted with the audience like a ball of pure adrenaline. His smooth vocals carried effortlessly over the pulsating beats and shimmering synths, blending seamlessly with the lush instrumentation of the band.

The stage setup was an absolute visual feast. Bright, neon colours and quirky animations lit up the bowl, perfectly matching Glass Animals’ playful yet sophisticated vibe. The lighting shifted between hypnotic patterns and bursts of vivid hues, syncing beautifully with the music and pulling the audience deeper into the experience.

The crowd was all in from the start—dancing, singing, and vibing to every beat. Bayley, clearly feeding off the energy, took moments to thank the audience and even ran through the crowd at one point, creating a sense of closeness despite the sprawling venue. The band’s chemistry was undeniable, with each member locked into the groove, delivering an effortless yet tight performance.

By the end of the night, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl felt like a giant celebration—a mix of nostalgia, joy, and pure escape. Glass Animals proved once again why they’re one of the most exciting live acts around, blending their unique sound with a live show that feels like stepping into another world. It was the kind of night you didn’t want to end and one that’ll be talked about long after the final beat faded.

Thank you to Glass Animals, Live Nation Australia, Thinking Loud and Sidney Myer Music Bowl for having MKA along.
