PUP - Do It 2025 - Perth

Last Thursday night, Magnet House was transformed into a sanctuary of catharsis and community as PUP returned to Australia for the first time since 2023, this time finally including Perth in their tour. The long awaited convergence  of the Toronto punk outfit and their Perth fans was nothing short of electric, and evening that felt both intimate and explosive.

From the second the band took to the stage, it was clear that Perth wasn’t just another tour stop. PUP brought more to the stage than just their discography – They brought a message. Between nostalgic riffs and anthemic choruses, they reminded us that although the outside world may be falling apart, inside these walls we could focus on the good, and appreciate something better. It was a punk night with purpose, and the crowd responded in kind.

The crowd was a beautiful cross section of fans; Longtime fans who’ve grown up with PUP pumping hard in their iPods stood shoulder to shoulder with fresh faced newcomers, a powerful reminder that the band’s raw honesty and emotive style continues to resonate across generations. The crowd was surfing, shouting lyrics back with fervor, and it was all welcomed by the band with open arms and teethy grins.

The atmosphere within the venue was euphoric, with the lighting elevating the experience that casted the band in a glow that matched the emotional highs of the night. PUP’s set was tight, polished, and powerful, with each song delivered with precision, passion and raw emotion, yet they never lost the gritty edge that makes their music so relatable.

PUP felt like more than a gig, it felt like a collective exhale. They didn’t just play music, they created a safe space, a moment of unity, and a memory that will echo in Perth’s punk scene for years to come.

Thank you to PUP, Destroy All Lines, Morse Code PR and Magnet House for having us along
