Stone Temple Pilots - Purple 30th Anniversary Tour
Thirty years can pass by pretty quickly. Nevertheless, Newcastle gathered at the NEX to celebrate the Pearl Anniversary of 'Purple', the debut album of Stone Temple Pilots that helped shape the 1990s and established STP's presence in the music scene.
Opening the show, Wolfmother never fails to disappoint, rocking the crowd with favourites like 'Another Dimension', 'Joker and the Thief', 'Woman', and 'Carnival'.
Returning to Newcastle after the UTSS tour of 2022, Stone Temple Pilots showcased highlights from the celebratory album, including 'Vasoline', 'Lounge Fly', 'Interstate Love Song', 'Pretty Penny', 'Kitchenware', 'Candybars', and 'Unglued'. Frontman Jeff Gutt serves as a fitting tribute to the late, great Scott Weiland, joining brothers Dean and Robert DeLeo in honouring an album that not only shaped the 1990s but also entrenched itself in the hearts of many.
Thanks to the Bands, Teamwork Touring, On The Map PR and NEX for having us along
