The Beasts - 35th Anniversary of Black Milk
The Beasts Celebration of the 35th birthday of their album Black Milk was more like a festival or carnival than a gig. Tex's son Louis and his band was the first band to hit the stage, follow by Richie Weed whose rendition of songs from his solo album was beautiful.
The Johhnny's hits the stage with the swagger you would expect and the twang of country guitar resonating through the room. The main event The Beasts, formerly The Beasts of Bourbon, was Loud and menacing as they walked their way through the album Black Milk song by song, with help of special guests including Richie Weed (Tumbleweed) and the legend that is Rob Younger from Radio Birdman.
It was a tribute to all members of The Beasts of Bourbon of which there were many some of whom have departed.
What a night of Australian Music.
