Tasmania-based alt-rocker Marcus Wynwood has released his new EP titled ‘Killerbites’ and the EP’s first single ‘Simulation’ is already generating a lot of attention for the former Captives band member. We caught up with Marcus recently to chat about his 25-plus years in the industry, the EP and his journey making ‘Killerbites’.

Boy & Bear livin’ the Dream

A decade on from the release of the chart topping, ARIA-nominated album ‘Harlequin Dream’, Boy & Bear are preparing for the release of an EP comprised of achieved songs from the ‘Harlequin Dream’ studio time. The new EP, ‘Lost Dream’ is set for release on Friday the 15th of September and we caught up with Boy & Bear’s Bass player and songwriter Dave Symes to ask him about the the anniversary of ‘Harlequin Dream’, ‘Lost Dream’ and the bands extensive regional tour they are about to embark on this Wednesday.

The Women of Soul

“Only 23% of APRA members are women, male directors dominate music boards, men are winning more awards and the ARIA Hall Of Fame has only 11 female artists among its 75 inductees”, with statistics like this it’s clear that Women are not being seen or represented enough in Australia’s music industry. We spoke to Chelsea Wilson, the Executive Director of the Women of Soul project about WOS’s new album ‘Feel Good’, the issues faced by women in the industry and ways we can try and change the narrative for the future.

Chavez Cartel are UK bound

Gold Coast rockers Chavez Cartel have released their brand new single ’Dead Weekend’ which serves as a teaser for their soon to be unleashed EP. 30 Years of Vicious

The label that kickstarted the careers of Avicii, Madison Avenue, Peking Duk, Dirty South, and so many more is celebrating a massive 30 years in the music industry. Founded in Australia, by Co-founders John Course and Andy Van (Madison Avenue), the two have been integral in developing Australian artists and exporting their House and Dance Music productions across the world. We were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to ask co-founder John Course about the first 30 years of Vicious, including its conception, how they are planning to celebrate this massive milestone and his stand-out moments so far in the Vicious journey.

No hiding for Boo Seeka in 2022

Boo Seeka, the man, the myth, the legend has a big year ahead of him with a string of festival performances to start it off, a new album and fingers crossed a tour. His new single ‘Dream’ is the first taste of what’s to come from Boo and it’s a song he is incredibly proud of, with it encompassing beautiful floaty lyrics paired with classic electronic production.
