The global phenomenon Glitterbox is returning to Australia for the first time in over 3 years! January sees Glitterbox hitting venues with a lineup that includes big international names as well as some of our best local talent. MFA caught up with some of the Glitterbox artists to ask them about what fans can look forward to and who their keen to see. First up…local legend Dr Packer.

30 Years of Vicious

The label that kickstarted the careers of Avicii, Madison Avenue, Peking Duk, Dirty South, and so many more is celebrating a massive 30 years in the music industry. Founded in Australia, by Co-founders John Course and Andy Van (Madison Avenue), the two have been integral in developing Australian artists and exporting their House and Dance Music productions across the world. We were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to ask co-founder John Course about the first 30 years of Vicious, including its conception, how they are planning to celebrate this massive milestone and his stand-out moments so far in the Vicious journey.

The King of REMINISCE - COREY TOPP

Corey Topp has been an event king from an early age, so REMINISCE doesn’t come as any surprise to those who know him. 2022 sees REMINISCE celebrate it’s tenth year and wow do they have a party planned to mark the milestone. The March 19th event, will see the iconic festival countdown the top 50 in it’s iconic home of The Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne with Artists such as Armand Van Helden , Example, John Course & bunch of brilliant local talent. Naturally we jumped at the chance to pick the brain of the man, the myth , the legend himself to ask him about the achievement of REMINISCE - 10Years, the journey from “Backyard to the Bowl” and what the future looks like for one of Australia’s most loved events.

James Ash Goes Rouge With Malibu Shadows

James Ash, the man behind Aussie band Rogue Traders releases the beautiful ‘Malibu Shadows’, a song created with a desire for lockdowns to be over and the wish for that freedom everyone was longing for, we spoke to James about the new song, the challenges of having his boss John Course do a remix and how terrible his first show went.
