I’d forgotten…

EDITORIAL :

It’s been a while since I’ve attended a festival as just a punter, usually I’m running around with a camera in my hand, taking notes for the review, or talking to the lovely people that have invited me there.

I had forgotten what it’s like to manoeuvre your way through the crowd to get to the front of the nose bleed section. I had forgotten about the not wanting to miss a minute so you wait as long as possible to make the decision to go to the toilet, then there’s a lineup that’s 20 deep, only to be faced with a portaloo that is in a putrid condition and highly likely out of toilet paper. I had forgotten the “eew gross” sensation of someone ‘s sweaty wet skin accidentally touching yours in passing through the crowds. The feeling of dancing with a random stranger or just how quickly you can kill a phone battery when you’re filming your favourites or snap chatting your mates that didn’t come.

Well this weekend I was reminded of all those things plus more and I FREAKIN LOVED IT!. I was also reminded why I do what I do. It is the aim of MFA to keep you informed and up to date with all festival news, dates and happenings regardless of genre so no one ever misses out on the opportunity or that experience of seeing their favourite music played live and enjoying it with like minded individuals.

Here’s to live music and may we never have to endure its absence ever again.

Long live live music
