Quandamooka Music & Cultural Festival

The much-loved Quandamooka Music & Cultural Festival has revealed its lineup for 2024 with the event confirmed to return to Minjerribah from August 30th to the 31st. This year sees the first full-scale event in two years and with artists like Jem Cassar-Daley, Uncle Joe Geia and Sachem headlining the 2024 edition is one not to be missed.

Quandamooka Music & Cultural Festival will again take place against the island paradise backdrop of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke), with the multi-artform festival providing the enriching opportunity to experience the continuing culture of the Nughi, Nunukul, and Goenpul clans of Quandamooka firsthand.

Quandamooka Festival is a great opportunity to bring the whole community and visitors together to celebrate culture and the arts, and learn more about Quandamooka Country; the sands, seas, sacred lakes, creeks, catchments and creatures found across the Redlands/Moreton Bay islands from the Quandamooka Peoples perspective”, says QYAC Chair, Cameron Costello.

The annual winter festival will include a Traditional Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country for attendees to celebrate the yalingila (whale) migration season as well as a diverse lineup of cultural activities, including tours, Kunjiel (corroborees), music performances, food, weaving, arts, crafts, panel discussions, First Nations’ film, and more.

Quandamooka Festival is a FREE -ENTRY, mandatory registration event at QYAC campus Minjerribah Gunaba, 100 East Coast Road.
