Field Day…Field Fun
Field Day is set to kick off 2027 in style, with the beautiful people at Fuzzy announcing the return of the iconic New Year’s Day festival to Sydney’s The Domain on Friday the 1st of January, along with a stacked lineup headed by global dancehall and electronic powerhouse Major Lazer, UK drum and bass favourite Sub Focus and a mystery headliner still to be revealed. The 2027 edition will also form part of Fuzzy's 30th anniversary celebrations, marking three decades of the independent Australian promoter's contribution to the Australian live music scene and festival landscape.
Field Day will once again transform the heart of Sydney into a three-stage celebration of dance music, that will boast international heavyweights, rising stars and some of Australia's most exciting electronic artists. The three headliners will be joined by German-Iraqi electro heavyweight Boys Noize, multi-instrumentalist Elderbrook, Scottish DJ and producer Hannah Laing, nu-trance pioneer Funk Tribu, UK garage favourites MPH and Oppidan, and Berlin-based genre-bender southstar. The local electronic scene is well represented, with Club Angel, Cassette, Disco Dora, Fried Pork Chop, Stacie Fields and Latifa Tee joining the bill, alongside Melbourne artists 2charm and TANZER. Rounding out the lineup are Łaszewo, nimino, Julian Fijma, Joe Hunt, Loosie Grind, Tiddalicious, Tiff Cornish, Wolters, Mad.Day and more. Casamigos Camp Ground, will again include a dedicated stage and space curated by the LGBTQIA+ community, while the festival's three stage format will deliver a full day of electronic music without the camping, long travel or the multi-day commitment of a traditional festival.
This year's Field Day event will also place a major focus on making live music more accessible to younger audiences. Fuzzy is setting aside $99.90 plus fees tickets for 18–25-year-olds, aimed at a generation whose formative festival and live music experiences were disrupted by COVID-19. The limited ticket ballot will be facilitated through Moshtix Ticket Request, with registrations opening at 12pm AEST on Wednesday the 2nd of September and closing at 11:59pm AEST on Sunday the 6th of September.
With Major Lazer making their long-awaited return, Sub Focus leading the drum and bass charge and another major name still hidden from the lineup, Field Day is once again shaping up to be the place to be on New Year's Day.
