Howlin’ good time
After a sold-out triumph in 2025, Newcastle’s HOWLIN’ COUNTRY returns to the picturesque Newcastle Foreshore in Summer 2026 with an all-star cast of international and homegrown country talent, with this year’s first lineup announcement including US country powerhouse Lainey Wilson, Newcastle’s own Morgan Evans, Americana darling Kaitlin Butts and Texas favourites Flatland Cavalry, alongside our very own Adam Newling and Tyla Rodrigues.
“We built Howlin’ from the ground up to support our community — the musicians, the small businesses, and the city that raised us,” said festival promoter Moe Matthew. “Having Morgan and Adam on this year’s lineup feels like a real celebration of where we’ve come from and where we’re going.”
And this is just the beginning. More artist announcements are expected in the coming months, with organisers hinting at “a few surprises” still up their sleeves.
With its roots deeply embedded in the Newcastle region, Howlin’ Country continues to champion local vendors, local staff and a strong regional music ethos — making it more than just a festival, but a true community event, so your boots, book your stay, and start planning for one of Australia’s fastest growing country music experiences.
Tickets go on sale from 1PM on Tuesday 12 August, with a variety of options designed to make the event accessible for everyone. Festivalgoers can opt for the Howlin’ Premium experience, offering the best seats in the house along with exclusive bar and bathroom access and baked treats from Crumb Bakery. For those seeking an elevated festival experience, VIP and Howlin’ Hotel tickets will be available for 18+ attendees. Youth tickets are on offer for 16- and 17-year-olds attending without a guardian, while children under 16 can join the fun when accompanied by a parent or guardian. And the littlest country fans — kids under 3 — can attend for free.
