On the Banks

A new era of live music is landing on the Brisbane River next March, as ON THE BANKS transforms the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank into an open-air concert destination next March. Set against uninterrupted city and river views, the series will bring warm summer nights, full outdoor bars, curated food offerings and a lineup that reflects Brisbane’s diverse and ever-evolving music community.

The inaugural program boasts a collection of international icons with beloved Australian artists across alternative, pop, garage, R&B and hip-hop. Highlights include De La Soul, The Streets, Bernard Fanning, Peach PRC, and Marlon Williams, alongside the high-energy cultural celebration BLOCKBUSTER, which will bring Punjabi music, dance and food to the riverside for the first time in Brisbane.

Full lineup (in date order):
Droppin’ Science ft. De La Soul (USA), Oddisee & Good Compny (USA), Miss Kaninna
The Streets (UK)
DISCO CLUB
Bernard Fanning
Peach PRC
BLOCKBUSTER (India/Pakistan)
Marlon Williams (NZ)

Presented in partnership by QPAC and South Bank Corporation, ON THE BANKS reimagines the riverside as a summer-long meeting place — where world-class live music, community and culture come together under open skies. More artists will be announced in early 2026.
