KOA Kicks Off in 2026

Western Australia’s coastal gem Kalbarri, is set to come alive when Kalbarri Open Air Festival 2026 lands at the Kalbarri Sports Oval from the 1st - 2nd of May 2026.

Located around six hours north of Perth, and set against one of WA’s most breathtaking coastal backdrops, this family-friendly regional festival aims to bring quality live music to an area that rarely sees touring acts. KOA 2026 will feature 16 bands from across Western Australia, delivering a mixed-genre, alternative-leaning lineup that champions homegrown talent.

The 2026 lineup brings together a diverse, alternative-leaning soundtrack for the two-day coastal celebration including Ratsalad, Amberdown, Kimura,Ammify, Beth Chia, SevenHurtz, Black Kanyon, The Subject Zero, Applebite, The Frauds, Last Ditch Effort, Tears of Venom, The Decapitated Chooks, Mustard and Tarot will play twice, delivering an original music set as well as a Led Zeppelin tribute set.

Festival organisers describe KOA as more than just a weekend of music, the event is about bringing local talent to a regional community that thrives on live connection. With food vans, a licensed bar and a relaxed coastal atmosphere, the event blends grassroots energy with holiday vibes. The township of Kalbarri itself is worth the trip alone.
