Listen up for Listen Out
It was with a collective phewww that the dance festival Listen Out announced it would go ahead in 2024. Listen Out and its little sister event Listen In will take place this year despite the challenges being faced by festivals around the country. Listen Out will again head to capital cities Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, with Listen In also returning to Adelaide and New Zealand this September and October.
The festival’s organisers Fuzzy Events have smartly resisted the urge to stray from their successful genre-focused blueprint which has been a proven ticket-seller since its inception in 2013 but one change that is taking place is the changing of the age restriction from 18+ to 16+ for all shows which will fill the holes left by the financially challenged older demographic.
Listen Out’s roster will again include a huge lineup of International and local Hip Hop acts and Electronic Music artists including 21 Savage, Lil Tjay,Tyla, John Summit, Sub Focus, Folamour,Cassian, Disco Lines, Teezo Touchdown, Flo Milli, Jessie Reyez, Lithe and The Blessed Madonna, while Listen In’s lineup includes 21 Savage, Folamour, Jessie Reyez, LilTjay, A Little Sound and Skepta.
