Melbourne Guitar Show 2025
A Guitarist’s Playground, the Melbourne Guitar Show made a killer return on Sunday, March 2nd, this time setting up shop at the Victoria Pavilion at Melbourne Showgrounds. If you’re into guitars, gear, and mind-blowing live performances, this was the place to be.
The new spot at Victoria Pavilion was a great choice of venue—spacious, easy to navigate, and full of energy without feeling cramped. They even had a “quiet time” in the morning, which was perfect for those wanting to test out guitars or chat with exhibitors without the usual noise overload. With the exhibition feeling more relaxed and better organised than in previous years.
Th shows live performances included Shredding Galore Sunday with a stacked lineup that included Paul Mason’s Jeff Beck tribute, which was pure magic, paying respect to a legend with some seriously smooth playing. Minnie Marks brought insane blues-rock energy, and Triple Fret (Kathleen Halloran and Jimi Hocking) absolutely tore it up with their seamless mix of styles. The CB3 brought a neo-funk vibe, adding a fresh touch to the mix. Whether you were into classic rock, blues, or more experimental sounds, there was something for every kind of guitar nerd.
The exhibitor section was basically heaven for gearheads. Rows of guitars, amps, pedals—you name it, it was there. Big brands, boutique builders, and all the latest gadgets to test out. Plus, the Make Music program was a cool addition, giving people a chance to jump into workshops and interactive sessions. Whether you were a beginner or a pro, there was a lot to learn and be inspired by.
Overall, the 2025 Melbourne Guitar Show nailed it. The new venue was a win, the performances were next level, and the gear selection was enough to make any guitarist’s wallet cry. Whether you came to buy, learn, or just soak in the music, it was an epic day out. Here’s hoping next year is even bigger!
