Melbourne’s Celtic Festival
After having to postpone or live stream due to Covid for the last few years, Melbourne Celtic Festival returns in 2023 in all its face to face, interactive glory. Set to take place on St Patrick’s Day (17th of March) the Melbourne Celtic Festival aims to satisfy Melbourne’s love affair with Celtic music with 100% of ticket sales going to important mental health programs through Australian Rotary Health and the Rotary Foundation Australia.
A sensational line-up of Celtic musicians will play across 3 indoor stages in Melbourne’s iconic Mission to Seafarers Complex from 12pm to 11pm in a community event that promises “the best Craic in town on St Paddy's Day”.
The Mission to Seafarers Complex will house a Beer Garden, Spanish Style Courtyard, Fully Licensed Bar, All Day Sausage Sizzle and the Dimattina Coffee Cart for your tasty treats. This will be a family-friendly event and have fully Accessible Areas so no one misses out on this day of Celtic immersion.
The Melbourne Celtic Festival will also have a bunch of special guests including international guest artist, Scottish Guitarist Tony McManus will give two intimate performances. Kathryn Clements who will lead a Traditional Irish Singing Workshop with which is free with a Festival Pass (Bookings essential 5.00pm - 6.00pm) and the winners of the 2022 Australian Folk Music Awards, AUSTRAL, a high-energy, four-piece Australian band combining didgeridoo, Irish pipes, high energy fiddling, journeying songs and energetic foot percussion.
