Melt is Brisbane’s yearly celebration of queer art, artists, allies and ideas and this years lineup has revealed a vibrant and eclectic program for all to enjoy this November. Featuring both international and ground-breaking local musicians, provocative and hilarious theatre, exquisite photography exhibitions, textile art and installations as well as a book launch and talk, MELT is set to take over the Brisbane Powerhouse in a truly powerful and unique way.
Musical Artists performing at MELT include Aluna with KUČKA, Kah-Lo with Djanaba, TOPS, Matt Hsu’s Obscure Orchestra, Alter Boy with June Jones and Keiynan Lonsdale with Keelan Mak.
“Melt 2023 is an explosion of creativity blending music, visual art and theatre to deliver our audiences an amazing program on the dancefloor, in the gallery and across our theatres. What better way to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community than with a kaleidoscope of performers and experiences curated by our diverse team at Brisbane Powerhouse.” said Brisbane Powerhouse Artistic Director and CEO Kate Gould
