Melt's magic revealed

The Brisbane Powerhouse has announced the first round of acts and artists that are set to hit stages across the city as part of the new and improved Melt Festival 2024. Melt will transform Brisbane City into an epicentre of Queer art and culture from the 23rd of October to the 10th of November 2024, wth a lineup that includes singers, artists, bands and performers.

Luke Furness, Chair of the Melt Reference Group said “This new incarnation of Melt is an evolution of Brisbane Powerhouse’s Melt Festival of Queer Arts and Culture. Melt is now much larger and will be staged in multiple venues and precincts across Brisbane/Meanjin. We have vibrant LGBTQIA+ communities here ready to take centre stage in a festival for the whole community. You can just feel it’s time to shine.”

Melt is an annual open-access festival embracing Queer art and culture that takes place annually in Brisbane, Australia. Melt proudly aims to foster inclusivity, provoke thought and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community through a diverse range of cultural and artistic events. Melt will host music events, theatre, visual art, parties, parades and more making it a perfect creative environment to celebrate every piece of the Melt rainbow!
