Coochin Fields is coming !!!!
Australia, we have some very exciting news for festivals, the Queensland based Comiskey Group has acquired a large area of land at Coochin Creek on the Sunshine Coast near Caloundra. The purchase of Coochin Fields by the Comiskey Group will bring festivals the size of which we have not seen here in Australia. No stranger to large scale festivals, the Comiskey Group already hosts some of Australia's biggest events such as THIS THAT, Touch Bass, For Shore, Red Hot Summer, Full Tilt, and Spring Loaded at the Eatons Hill Hotel and the Sandstone Point Hotel. The acquisition of Coochin Fields really is a coup for Australian festival goers, with festivals the size of Coachella, Tomorrowland and Burning man predicted for the site. With events of this size and magnitude the Comiskey Group will further their reputation and will rival some of the biggest festivals in the world.
Located in Coohin Creek, the 150 hectare site which is currently housing Turf and Strawberry farms was purchased by the group in 2021, and is located between Maroochydore 35 minutes to the south and Brisbane 1 hour and 20 minutes to the north, making Coochin Fields perfectly situated to capture both markets, with direct access to the Pacific Highway.
The Comiskey Group is well-equipped to utilize the large festival site to its maximum potential and with a proven track record of bringing world-class events to Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region since 2011. Having won countless awards for their purpose-built live music spaces, the groups facilities have so far been complimented with premium on-site accommodation as well as offerings designed to specifically cater to the needs of ticket-holders and the artists it will host, a trend set to continue in the Coochin venture. In a new move for the Cominskey Group, Coochin Fields is also expected to provide camping facilities, which is a very popular addition to any festival site, but especially on the scale of the predicated festivals that are set to take place at this new location.
The group are already receiving interest from established festivals wishing to expand or relocate as well as new festivals that are still in their creation stage that are searching for the type of home which Coochin Fields can offer with its great location and the types of facilities that the Comiskey Group are well known for providing. “Cochin Fields will operate as an amalgamation of what we have learnt from years of experience” says Rob. The site is predicated to not only offer plenty of conveniences and must-see artists, but also unique activations and experiences that will challenge the preconceived notions of what is expected from a music festival.
The Comiskey Group have always been dedicated to providing exceptional live music experiences and have been recognized for their success. The Coochin Fields concept is in the safest hands possible to reach fruition and deliver Australia music festivals on an international scale.
