On The Steps…

One of Sydney’s most anticipated summer events is back. On The Steps, Live Nation’s open-air concert series at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt, returns for its fourth year from the 1st - 15th of December 2025. Set against one of the world’s most iconic backdrops, the two-week series transforms the Forecourt into a vibrant outdoor stage, welcoming over 50,000 music fans for a run of unforgettable live performances.

The first round of artists and includes Franz Ferdinand (3 December), bringing their high-energy Scottish rock to the Harbour. Joining them will be UK artist and producer Loyle Carner (4 December), and Australian electro-pop favourites Parcels (6 & 7 December), with more acts will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Blending local legends with international stars, this year’s On The Steps offers a dynamic mix of genres – from indie and pop to hip hop and electronic – all under the summer sky and framed by the sails of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Alongside the entertainment, the series once again supports Support Act, the Australian music industry’s leading charity, providing crisis relief and mental health support. This year’s shows will also help raise funds for the annual Aus Music T-Shirt Day campaign, part of November’s Aus Music Month.
