REMINISCE 10 YEARS – ‘BACKYARD TO THE BOWL’ DOCUMENTARY & COFFEE TABLE BOOK ARE RELEASED!!
The Reminisce crew are gearing up for their massive 10 Years celebration. Accompanying the Show on March 19 at The Bowl, is a special feature documentary: ‘Backyard to The Bowl – 10 Years of Reminisce’ and features stories from everyone involved from the beginning till today, including founders: Corey Topp & Mark Middo, as well as John Course and Richie McNeill (Hardware Group).
In April 2011, best friends Corey Topp and Mark Middo held a backyard party in Frankston with 30 friends. Sparked by Corey’s fascination with the power of music, being able to transport you back to an exact moment in time. The idea was to collectively vote for their favourite classic house songs of ‘all time’ and then DJ / mix the top 50 songs in a countdown format.
Fast forward 10 years later (with friend Sean Rault and Hardware Group on board as partners), that party is now a full-scale festival called ‘Reminisce’ with what will be 10,000+ people at the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
‘Reminisce’ celebrates its 10 year anniversary with its biggest event yet !!
The March 19th event has a lineup that includes: Armand Van Helden, Example, Inner City (LIVE), John Course (Top 50 countdown) plus loads of locals over 3 massive stages.
To commemorate this massive occasion, and accompanying the documentary is a limited-edition coffee table book, titled ‘Backyard to the Bowl: 10 Years of Reminisce’. Both the documentary and book follow the journey from 30 people in a backyard, to the present day event with 10,000 people in Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
