RHYTHM returns to The Reef
Mackay’s Rhythm and The Reef Festival is back for 2026, bringing another stacked lineup of Australian favourites and emerging local talent to regional Queensland. Headlining this year’s bill is Jessica Mauboy, who will be joined by an all-Australian lineup featuring Spiderbait, Bag Raiders, Dune Rats, Illy, Hermitude, Rogue Traders, KLP, Ishgwan, Bonka and more, promising a huge day of live music across two stages.
Co-event organiser James Slade said the festival’s ability to bring major touring artists to regional Queensland wouldn’t be possible without the support of local partners, particularly naming rights partner FMS Group who make the festival’s continued commitment to supporting the next generation of music and arts while improving quality of life in the Mackay region possible.
“Rhythm was built by the community, for the community,” - Co-event organiser James Slade
Rhythm and The Reef 2026 will again deliver food stalls, licensed bars, a chillout zone, art installations, the City Fitness VIP area and plenty of family-friendly entertainment, including the return of its famously towering crocodile installation.
Organisers have also announced the continuation of the FMS Group Family Ticket Program in 2026, designed to help reduce costs for families wanting to attend ticketed events, helping keep the festival affordable.
