White Bay Powers Up
Sydney landmark, the iconic White Bay Power Station has announced it will open its doors to host Power Up, a free music festival in the heart of the harbour city. The Power Up festival will showcase the creativity of the region’s homegrown talent with over 100 artists and 200 musicians and performers set to take the stage across three days. This FREE event will run from Friday the 20th of September through to Sunday the 22nd of September 2024, providing a vast array of entertainment at a price everyone can afford.

There will be an incredible diversity of creative talent from visual artists to musicians to magicians who live and work in the area. White Bay’s The Boiler House will be stacked with DJs, choirs, Bands and two of Sydney’s Youth Orchestras, the Peter Seymour Orchestra and Philharmonic Orchestra, while The Turbine Hall will house family-friendly fun workshops as well as the ARIA-winning singer-songwriter and native to area Josh Pyke who will be performing his iconic catalogue and sharing stories about his life in the neighbourhood.

Power UP follows the success of the Biennale, which was held in March and forms part of the NSW Government’s plan in developing a long-term strategy for the historic building to ensure that it becomes a cultural asset for generations to come.
