Jack Bratt’s Top 4 Guitar Heroes

Jack Bratt’s Top 4 Guitar Heroes

JOHN FRUSCIANTE

John is my favourite guitarist, and is well loved in the guitar playing community, not for his overall technical ability, but for his influence on popular culture and his ability to write solos that are so hooky you can sing along with them. That being said, I think his guitar playing on Blood Sugar Sex Magik is masterful.

KEITH URBAN

A severely underrated guitar player, Keith is a weapon. I’ve lifted so many of his signature licks, including his chicken picking style over the years. I think seeing as he is such a great artist, song writer and vocalist , his playing is often slept on. I highly recommend checking out an instrumental on his album “The Ranch” called “Clutterbilly”.

JIMI HENDRIX

He is just the best of all time. So incredibly ahead of his time, and is still universally loved. I love his clean delicate playing the most, it’s such an important part of my playing, nobody has embellished chords and expanded rhythm playing since him.

DEREK TRUCKS

Not a traditional guitarist as far as contemporary music goes but mostly a slide player, Derek Trucks can make you feel things from his playing like no other. He transforms his SG into a soul singer. As somebody who is an extremely average slide player, he seems like somebody from out of space with the sound he is able to create.
