Robbie Bostock - Explorations

Robbie Bostock is set to release his new EP ‘Explorations’ coinciding with the Blues on Broadbeach Festival, and a series of events across his Gold Coast hometown. The 6-track instrumental album is a journey which encompasses rock, blues, and country sounds, transcending genres and generations alike. ‘Explorations’ really does take you on a musical journey starting with rock blues and hitting on those 60’s beach guitar sounds and hints of 80’s glam rock and drumbeats.

Robbie started playing guitar at the young age of 7, etching a name for himself in the industry performing alongside Tommy Emmanuel, Normie Rowe and the late Stevie Wright. 2013 saw the release of ‘Chariots of Fire,’ a collaborative album with mentor Phil Emmanuel. This acclaimed release led the pair to a subsequent tour that same year of sell out shows across Australia. Robbie went on to bring home ‘Instrumental of the Year’ at the Australian Song Writing Awards for his single ‘The New Rivals’ in 2019 and as a session guitarist behind 6 times Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence’s 2022 country album ‘Living for the Highlights’ which featured at #1 on the ARIA Top 50 Chart.

‘Explorations’ is due for release May 12th. Robbie Bostocks’ upcoming performance traversing Blues on Broadbeach will showcase not only his innate guitar instrumentalism, vocals, covers and more.
