Alexisonfire - Australian Tour 2025

The night of March 11th 2025, the hottest ticket in Sydney was at the Hordern Pavilion. Heavy music fans of all ages gathered, undeterred by the wet Sydney evening, for Alexisonfire and their amazing supports Underoath and Gel.

Gel, the high octane hardcore band from New Jersey, had the pleasure of kicking off the proceedings with their female-led punk take on the genre. Lead singer Sami was hard to miss in the bright red dress, and the same goes for the tight instrumentals and powerful vocals that they collectively delivered. This acted as a beacon to summon all the punters and set the mood for the night

Next up was the incredible Underoath, back in the country for the first time since their tour with The Amity Affliction in 2019. They celebrated the 20th Anniversary of ‘They’re Only Chasing Safety’ by playing the full album and an encore set, which included the powerful new song ‘Generation, No Surrender’ off their forthcoming release ‘The Place After This One’ The Familiar melodic vocals of Aaron Gillespie, who also doubles as the drummer, kicked of the set with ‘Some will seek forgiveness, Others Escape’ as the remainder of the band entered the stage Throughout their performance, the infectious energy and stamina was in full flight as the crowd ventured back down memory lane while listening to fan favorites ‘A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White’ and ‘Reinventing Your Exit

Finally, it was time for the Canadian Post Hardcore heavyweights, Alexisonfire, to take the stage, and the anticipation in the room could be cut with a knife. As soon as Heavy vocalist George Pettit appeared on stage wearing a ski mask, it was crystal clear they meant business and boy, did they deliver! Their setlist included a vast collection of their extensive discography in an action-packed set, seamlessly moving from one song to the next with the added fan-favorite clean vocals of the one and only Dallas Green. By the end of their set, it was clear the punters were eager for more, so along came the Encore. By the end, the crowd was singing along to ‘Happiness By the Kilowatt’, which included a sample of “Shout” by Tears for Fears.

Alexisonfire have one more show in Melbourne on the 14th of March, and a limited number of tickets are still available via https://www.frontiertouring.com/
