Hilltop Hoods - Never Coming Home Tour - Melbourne

Hilltop Hoods - Never Coming Home Tour

Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne - 07/03/26

The show started off with English born Irish singer Maverick Sabre who’s soulful voice features twice on Hilltops 2014 album ‘Walking Under StarsSabre’s soulful voice and introspective songs warmed up the crowd who had arrived early to secure a spot at the very front.

The seats and standing space filled up quick as Dj Total Eclipse brought on the dance moves with songs especially catered for the Aussie fans.

The room was heavy with anticipation as the Hilltop Hoods came on stage. Bringing with them a full band, smoke and fire show. They started strong with their biggest hits ‘Leave Me Lonely’, ‘Chase That Feeling’ and ‘The Nosebleed Section’ to get the crowd all fired up. The stars of the group, Suffa and Preasure were filled with just as much excitement as the sold-out arena of fans. Being Melbourne show number 2, there was no sign of fatigue, the boys brought out maximum energy as they bounced on to the stage.

Having formed in 1994, they showed that they are very much at the top of their game, with no signs of slowing down. Song ‘1955’ came on, with the group marking its 10-year anniversary with a collaboration with Montaigne, who gracefully walked down the stage bringing her distinct and highly technical singing style.

They also brought to the stage Adrian Eagle, Illy and MaFu Walters to run through 'Clark Griswold', 'Exit Sign' and 'Never Coming Home'. It was a star filled show, and everyone brought their A-game. Towards the end of the night, the duo had somewhat of a strange request - for everyone to take off a piece of clothing and swing it around like there’s no tomorrow. The arena went wild with people taking off shoes, shirts and hats. It’s also worth mentioning that it was a very family friendly concert with lots of kids enjoying the music with their parents.

After a small break, they came back on stage to play ‘Cosby Sweater’ being their highest-chartng single to date, it was the perfect song to finish the night.

This wasn't your usual Hoods show. This was an epic showcase of some of their best music from a career that's spanned over 30 years
