Live At The Gardens - RocKwiz

RocKwiz Live at the Gardens, Melbourne – Friday 21 November 2025

RocKwiz Live returned to Melbourne with that perfect blend of music, chaos, comedy and community that only they can deliver, and the Gardens proved to be the ideal backdrop. As the sun dipped behind the trees, the crowd settled onto picnic rugs and folding chairs, already buzzing with anticipation. There’s something about seeing RocKwiz outdoors that just hits differently, the whole show feels more relaxed, more spontaneous, more Melbourne.

Brian Nankervis kicked things off, stepping onto the stage with that familiar spark in his eye. Within minutes, he had the crowd laughing, clapping, and fully engaged, running through warm ups and little improvised moments that made everyone feel like part of the show before it had even properly begun. His energy set the tone perfectly loose, a bit chaotic, and full of heart.

Julia Zemiro joined him soon after, gliding in with her effortless charm and quick wit. Together, they eased the audience into the RocKwiz rhythm, bouncing jokes off each other and hyping up what was already shaping to be an unforgettable night. The guest performers that included WILSN, Phil Jamieson and Casey Donovan, were the heartbeat of the evening. Each artist brought their own flavour, from high-powered vocals to stripped-back emotional moments that silenced the whole lawn.

The quiz segments were unpredictable in the best way. Audience members jumped in with varying levels of confidence, and the crowd backed them with laughter, cheers, and a healthy dose of friendly yelling. Watching strangers get swept up in the moment and suddenly become mini-celebrities for a round or two is part of what makes RocKwiz so irresistible.

By the time the finale rolled in, the Gardens were glowing, stage lights flickering through the trees, voices rising together, and that unmistakable sense of shared joy that RocKwiz always brings. It felt more like a community gathering than a traditional show, where music lovers of all ages came together for a night that was equal parts nostalgia, celebration, and pure fun.

RocKwiz Live once again proved why it’s one of Australia’s most beloved live experiences. Under the open sky, surrounded by laughter, music, and great company, the night captured everything special about Melbourne’s live scene
