Jeremy Loops - July 2026 Tour
Jeremy Loops gave Sydney’s Manning Bar a night of relaxed warmth and genuine joy. He took the stage with a gentle heart, weaving through the crowd’s expectation with folk, acoustic pop, and an irresistibly natural groove that was just too easy to succumb to. From start to finish, Loops had the room under his spell thanks to his geniality and, of course, his signature live looping.
Some of the folk music lovers around the venue and indeed myself may call Jeremy Loops a kind of South African Pete Murray. He writes sweet, laidback music with catchy melodies, earnest lyrics, and an acoustic structure-but he has created something distinctly his own with his creative use of live looping, harmonica, beatboxing, and percussion that builds up layer by layer into a surprisingly full soundscape. During his set, he played hits like the rousing ‘Down South’, ’Gold,Sinner’ and the fan favourite ‘Waves,’ which was followed by a roar of singalongs from the packed floor. A truly uplifting tune called ‘Better Together’ embodied the overall feeling of community for the night, and the more tender, stripped-back songs showcased a deep honesty in his songwriting. Jeremy Loops maintained the perfect equilibrium of refined skill and easygoing comfort throughout his performance his connection with the crowd made even a jam-packed manning bar feel like a more intimate affair, and when the curtain finally drew to a close after an extended encore, it felt like we had shared something truly special.
Whether you’ve been listening for years or this was your introduction to the talented Jeremy Loops, it’s abundantly clear to see why the man is capturing hearts the world over.
