Lacuna Coil - Sleepless Empire Tour
On February 14, 2026, Italian gothic metal icons Lacuna Coil transformed Liberty Hall into a cathedral of distortion, drama and raw emotion. From the moment the lights dropped, the crowd surged forward, greeted by a wall of sound that was both crushing and cinematic.
Opening with explosive precision, the band tore into Layers of Time, immediately setting a fierce tone for the night. Dual vocalists Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro were magnetic, with Scabbia’s soaring melodies cutting cleanly through the mix, while Ferro’s gritty growls anchored the set with weight and menace. Their chemistry remains one of the band’s greatest strengths, balancing beauty and brutality in equal measure.
Mid-set highlights included the anthemic punch of Blood, Tears, Dust, its industrial edge igniting a sea of raised fists, while Heaven’s a Lie triggered one of the loudest singalongs of the night. The setlist smartly bridged eras, satisfying long-time devotees while showcasing the band’s modern evolution.
The production was tight but never sterile; guitars roared with clarity, the rhythm section thundered, and the lighting design amplified the band’s dark aesthetic without overpowering the performance.
By the encore, Liberty Hall felt less like a venue and more like a shared ritual. Lacuna Coil didn’t just perform — they commanded, captivated and conquered.
