We got to chat to 4orttune about ‘ZOO’, collaborations and what else he has in the works

For those that haven’t heard your music before,  what genre box does 4orttune belong in?

I feel like I don’t belong in any genre I love making all styles of music but my main style is melodic Rap

You have just released your brand new track ZOO, tell us about your new song. What does the song mean to you?

This release is my biggest yet, a lot went behind this, and I feel like this is the song that’s gonna get me more recognition

Is there a particular line or part of the song that stands out for you? Which lines resonate with you most?

The chorus, “I feel like I’m living in a zoo” the small city I live in feels like I’m trapped in a cage and everyone in this city is doing the same thing and following each other like animals in a zoo

I was just vibing out when I made it

Did the song take on any massive changes during the creative process or was the final product the original vision?

The final product was the original vision, I was just vibing out when I made it. This song is mainly for everyone to get energy from and just dance to.

Do you play a part in the production side of the track?

I told my production team how I wanted the beat to sound and they got it perfect, Thankyou to BeatswithSheph

Navsrevenge directed it, I asked him for a city fast-paced vibe and he got it perfect

ZOO has its own visualiser, who came up with the concept for the video? Were there any memorable moments during the making of it?

Navsrevenge directed it, I asked him for a city fast-paced vibe and he got it perfect, he had me climbing up scaffolding and buildings to get some shots that were scary and memorable.

Can we expect a 4orttune album or EP out soon or is ZOO a stand-alone single release?

I’ll work on an EP later down the track I feel like it’s still early in my career but would definitely love to do one.

How did you get your start in music?

Just as a joke rapping to my mates at school I never thought I would get in a studio until my girlfriend at the time surprised me with a studio session on my birthday in 2022. Ever since then, I haven’t stopped

Who do you credit as your musical influences?

Lil Durk, Lil Tjay and my friend VillySzn

I would love to work with Irfxxn, I feel like we would go great together on a song

You are making a guest appearance on your label mate Tiffany's new track 'Pretty Game', Who else would you love to collaborate with in the future?

I would love to work with Irfxxn, I feel like we would go great together on a song

Is making music your full-time gig? If you weren’t a musician what else would you be doing now?

It’s my full-time gig now, I think I was bound to always do music I can’t see myself doing anything else, but if music wasn’t part of my life I would probably try out content creation, doing comedy skits.

Who in your crew or team deserves a shout out but never gets one? And what is it they do that keeps your world turning?

Barry and Sheph, they are always giving me new ideas and keeping me confident by pushing me to always try different styles of music.

What's next for 4orttune? What can we expect with 2025 approaching?

There is a Hoodbars episode on the way, by next year I see myself on takeflight and hopefully signing a record deal.
