NYE in the Park - GRAACE
New Year’s is coming and we can’t wait! NYE in the Park is the only festival taking place in Sydney on NYE and after attending last year’s event, trust us when we say this is one crakka of a party. The line-up for NYE in the Park includes Australian and International artists and bands, many of who have been on tour overseas, and are returning for the Harbour city’s best New Year’s event. MFA caught up with some of the line-ups to ask them about NYE in the Park, what fans can look forward to and who’s set they’re most keen to watch. Next on the list is left-of-centre pop princess, GRAACE.
You are one of the Artists confirmed to perform at NYE in the Park, the only festival event happening in Sydney on NYE. Are you excited to be a part of this celebration towelcome in the new year?
I can’t tell you how excited I am to have something so fun planned for New Years Eve! Not just being able to play on such a special day, but also getting to join the celebration at the festival with all my friends watching the huge lineup!

NYE in the Park is a long standing event with a diverse bunch of attendees, set in the middle of the harbour city. Have you participated before and if not what are you anticipating?
I was lucky enough to play NYE in the Park back in 2019 before the world shut down. I had an amazing time with the friends and family I brought along, and am excited to capture that feeling again and pretend like COVID never happened!
How do you prepare yourself for a festival event like NYE in the Park?
Lots of band rehearsals and solo rehearsals. I have a pre-show ritual with my band before going on stage where we huddle and all say one thing we’re thankful for. It really helps us to get us out of our nerves and reminds us how lucky we are to get to do what we do.
Apart from your own, who's set are you most looking forward to seeing played at NYE in the Park?
I was lucky enough to be Flight Facilities’ vocalist in 2018 travelling across Australia, Europe and America, so I’m really excited to give everyone a big hug and see how their show has evolved!
