Sydney duo Sunset Bros are back with another of their signature rave-ready singles ‘Everybody Jump (Meet Her at The Love Parade).’ The single which originated as a bootleg idea that was to be played at one-half of Sunset Bros’ wedding, became a viral hit after one of the guests shared a video of the song. With over 6.7 million views on TikTok, fans begged for the track’s release and the Sunset Bros obliged with the global release of ‘Everybody Jump (Meet Her at The Love Parade)’. We caught up with Glenn & Adriano to chat about the new song, the rebirth of the juggernaut dance event Temple of Dance and what the rest of their 2023 looks like.

You have just released ‘Everybody Jump (Meet Her at The Love Parade)’ which was originally made for a Sunset Bros wedding. What made you make this song and not some cheesy ballad given the day it was made for?

We actually made a remix of ‘Meet Her at The Love Parade’ around 10 years ago which was what we played in that viral Tik Tok video. BUT, for Adriano’s walk-in song I (Glenn) did a brand-new remix because I wanted his entrance to be epic and so it was! It really got the party started and that was the basis for the new version we released as ‘Everybody Jump’.

So, tell us about your new song, what did the creative/writing process look like for ‘Everybody Jump (Meet Her at The Love Parade)’

As we mentioned before, the track stemmed from Adriano’s walk-in song. We felt that it needed some kind of hook vocal to pair it with, so I thought back to an unreleased track I wrote around 5 years ago so we used that same hook, the only difference being that it was my voice. Since my voice wasn’t the right fit for it we contacted Rodney O who we thought had the perfect voice for it. Rodney also did some off-the-cusp adlibs which we loved, so we incorporated into the track and it sounded amazing!

The song went viral after being placed on Tik Tok, what was the new Mrs Sunset’s reaction when you said you were going to post this special moment on your public socials? Was there any reluctance by either of you to let the world into such a personal time in your lives?

Mrs Sunset had no say hahaha! Nah she was cool with it, but I (Adriano) was a little apprehensive about bringing my private life into the public social sphere but I’m glad I did it cause it ended up being quite the phenomenon.

You’re currently touring overseas, how is the song being received internationally?

So far everywhere we have played it the track has gone mental. We are excited for the world to hear it so everyone add it to your playlists now!

What are the best and worst things about touring overseas?

We are really blessed to have each other on tour as it gets quite demanding and tiring when living out of a suitcase packing, repacking, and travelling almost every day. It takes a toll on you mentally and physically, especially not being able to see our friends and loved ones. Not to mention all the rubbish food we’re sometimes forced to eat, especially in airports, the amount of fast food and premade sandwiches we’ve eaten over the years is scary. For all the touring artists who do this solo, big respect!

Sunset Bros seems to keep up a relentless pace when it comes to touring and playing live so what’s the Diary looking like for the rest of the year?

Our schedule is actually intense for the rest of 2023 with a tonne of interstate shows and private parties, we are on the road every week till next year with a lot more coming in 2024.

July saw you headline the return of Temple of Dance, what was it like to be a part of this juggernaut events reinvention?

It was such a great feeling to have Temple of Dance back, it was time to bring back a brand that was known for its quality of music and theatrical experience. To have every show sell out since its inception in 2006 is an amazing feat and we look forward to what the future holds.

The event was a massive success, so can EDM fans look forward to more Temple of Dance events in the future?

In the words of Carl Cox “Oh yes oh yes”. We have some very special things coming so keep a lookout, we are only getting started as this sleeping giant has awakened.

What's next for the Sunset Bros.? What can we expect with 2024 rapidly approaching?

We have recently signed to new management with Atom Group, which are the same guys involved with all the Symbiotic and Hardware events such as Festival X, Dreamstate, Altitude and so on. We are really excited to see what opportunities are coming in the near future and we are more pumped than ever.

Music wise we have a buttload of new music coming with some very special collabs we can’t mention just yet, so stay tuned.
