New Year’s At The Bowl

Melbourne’s newest large-scale music festival, New Year’s at the Bowl is set to transform the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and King’s Domain gardens into a two-day celebration farewelling 2025 and welcoming in 2026. The Bowl, one of Australia’s most iconic open-air venues will host a multi stage event offering two distinct experiences, a high-energy New Year’s Eve countdown followed by a more relaxed New Year’s Day program.

Presented by Live Nation, the festival’s debut lineup boasts a variety of genres that spans generational divides. Underworld will headline the NYE celebrations with their legendary electronic anthems, while Maribou State and Berlioz lead the NYD bill. Joining them is an eclectic mix of artists and bands including Carl Cox (NYE countdown set), Confidence Man, Joy Crookes, Santigold, Marc Rebillet, Glass Beams, Bradley Zero, Ross From Friends presents Bubble Love, Tornado Wallace, Sam Gellaitry, The Preatures, Don West, Good Neighbours, Velvet Trip, INJI, Emma-Jean Thackray, Harvey Sutherland, Roza Terenzi, Kamma & Masalo, Prosumer, Alex Kassian, Aldonna, Bertie, X & IVY, Owelu Dreamhouse, Big Wett, Any Young Mechanic, MzRizk and Shantan Wantan Ichiban.

Promoter Mike Ross said the event was designed to capture the spirit of Melbourne itself:

“We’re excited to launch New Year’s at the Bowl – two days of great music, ranging from a high-energy end to the year, to a relaxing, hopefully sun-drenched kick-off for 2026. We hope the festival will grow into a celebration that feels unique to Naarm, with a wide-ranging musical program, great local acts and iconic location all coming together to reflect the tastes and spirit of the city, with a few surprises still to be revealed.”

Melbourne has long been recognised as the music and arts culture capital of Australia, but a long-term, inner-city New Year’s festival has been missing from its rich calendar of events. New Year’s at the Bowl aims to fill that gap, creating an accessible, large-scale celebration that unites locals and visitors alike in a truly iconic space. So whether it’s a euphoric midnight countdown you are after or a New Year’s Day that will really kick off 2026, New Year’s at the Bowl is set to make the Melbourne New Year’s celebrations louder, brighter, and more exciting than ever.
