The Rubens' bring you 'Valleyways'

In honor of a decade of making music together, The Rubens have assembled their own festival, in their own home town. ValleyWays, is to be held in the band’s hometown of Camden, N.S.W in February 2022 and will showcase some of the country’s biggest heavy hitters including Skeggs, Middle Kids, Slowly Slowly, Blessed, Stevan, Becca Hatch, Hollie Cal, The Dardi Shades ,Grace Amos and of course The Rubens themselves.

The festival presented by The Rubens ,Triple J, MJR and TEG Live, will take place at Onslow Oval on Feb 19 and will also include the Triple J Unearthed Winner with details of this to be announced in January 2022.

"We are so thrilled to be putting on a big outdoor festival in the town we all grew up in! Our community has been big supporters of the band over the last 10 years, and this is our way of giving back. ValleyWays will bring the best music to our own backyard, and we hope to do this for many years to come!" said The Rubens.

Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, and Minister for Trade and Industry, Stuart Ayres has also shown his support for the festival and the opportunities it provides by stating “ValleyWays will deliver a new cultural experience for the Camden community, diversify the region’s tourism offering and create local jobs. The festival is a boost to the live music culture throughout Western Sydney and gives visitors another reason to add Camden to their calendar of places to visit this summer.”

The band hopes that Valleyways will nurture local talent and provide them a platform to perform in front of big audiences, as well as the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s big guns. The Rubens plan on hosting the event in their hometown on an annual basis which will build on the live music culture that exists in the Macarthur region of Western Sydney.
