The Sun Just Expanded
Returning bigger than ever, Here Comes The Sun is launching its most ambitious chapter yet, announcing a major new partnership with the World Surf League that will see the festival expand to three locations across the WSL Australian Championship Tour. Aligning music and surfing in a way that feels genuinely natural to both cultures, the series begins at Torquay Common on Saturday the 4th of April, continues at 3 Oceans, Margaret River on Saturday the 25th of April, and concludes at the Queen Elizabeth Park on the Gold Coast on Saturday the 2nd of May.
The 2026 lineup brings together some of Australia’s most established and exciting new artists, including Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco, Sycco, Eliza & The Delusionals and Mariae Cassandra, with more names still to be announced. It’s a perfectly curated mix of festival favourites and rising talent, designed for golden-hour sets and coastal summer energy.
Long synonymous with surfing through its deep connection to the WA Margaret River Pro, Here Comes The Sun broadened its horizons in 2024 by debuting at Torquay — a move that sparked the attention of the WSL and cemented the festival as a natural cultural companion to Australia’s most iconic surf events. With live music woven into the atmosphere of each Championship Tour stop, the partnership elevates both experiences while celebrating the spirit of Australia’s coastal communities.
While 2026 sees the event extend to three states, the festival maintains its commitment to comfort, safety and accessibility, ensuring spacious layouts, quality facilities, and a thoughtful selection of food, drink and artisan vendors at every location. Each edition promises the same relaxed, sun-soaked ambience that has defined the Here Comes The Sun ethos since its inception.
And this is just the start of this new chapter for Here Comes The Sun with plans to expand to even more locations already in blueprint for 2027.
