ELIZA HULL's TOP 4 TOUR ESSENTIALS

Currently Eliza is on tour in the UK with artist Ruth Lyon, and these are four things she can't live without when on tour!

1. Cups of Tea - So good for my throat! I usually have a cup of lemon and ginger tea when I am sound checking and then one before I go on stage. It helps to coat my throat and leaves me feeling really hydrated which, is good as a vocalist. When I go on stage though I have a glass of red and a water, it's all about balance!

2. Merch - Sounds obvious but it's often hard to make a big profit off touring, so merch is really the chance to not go into debt when you're doing a really large tour, like I am doing right now. It's also a way for me to meet the audience. I have absolutely loved speaking to everyone after the shows in the UK and hearing what their favourite song is, and what the music meant to them or how it connected with them. It makes it worthwhile and more meaningful.

3. Good, healthy food - Touring is hard work and often it's really hard to get good food when you're on the road, but this tour I have really prioritised eating well so that I am at my best, and don't get sick. It's been great finding all the great healthy restaurants and shops around each town we have been touring in.

4. Costumes - I love dressing up for each show and during this tour in the UK I have worn velvet suits, long dresses, and lots of sparkly jackets and jumpsuits. For me, costumes are part of my creative expression, it's a way that I can share with my audience what I am feeling. It also helps me get into the mood to put on a show.
