Escape The Fate - Australian Tour 2026
Escape The Fate blasted Newcastle with pure, unadulterated post-hardcore nostalgia last night with a show filled with raw energy, aggression, and all the anthems fans live for.
As soon as the lights went down the room was captivated; a flurry of circle pits, roars of vocals filling the air and the lyrics of every single song shouted back by the rabid fans. The band blended newer songs with the anthems that set the scene for an entire generation of alternative music.
Frontman Craig Mabbitt seemed effortless on stage, thriving on the energy of the crowd and still commanding those powerful vocals. Escape The Fate delivered a set which was tight, loud and intensely aggressive, just how it was wanted.
The strongest thing about the set however was the bond between the band and the audience. Old fans who grew up with the songs- Situations and This War Is Ours stood alongside fans who had only just begun to get into the band. Newcastle was a time capsule to the golden age of alternative music for a few hours.
Escape The Fate delivered an experience. It was pure nostalgia mixed with a flurry of chaos and release, and there's no wonder why the band still retain a special place in the hearts of alternative music lovers around the globe.
Thanks to Escape The Fate, Destroy All Lines, Maric Media and Bar On The Hill for having us along.
