April will see Stone Temple Pilots return to Australia for Under the Southern Stars since 2011 and in the wake of lead singer, Scott Weiland’s tragic passing in 2015, followed by replacement Chester Bennington in 2017.

According to Dr. Richard Hames, the same futurist who predicted 9/11 and the Global Financial Crisis, “Donald Trump will win re-election in 2020 just in time for a ‘global crash’, Aussie property prices still have much further to fall, and Facebook will be dead within a decade” (via news.com.au) Now while, Music Festivals Australia neither promises nor denies any of these predictions for such an auspicious date stamp in time, what we can confirm is that NYE in the Park is returning for the third year and has dropped an incredible line up to either rain or reign in 2020.
Unleashing Aoki ahead of Festival X Tour
Steve Aoki could be characterised as one of the most charismatic producers and Electro-house DJ’s in the world. However, he is also one of the highest grossing and boasts a huge 8.1 million social media followers. In 1996, he founded his own label, Dim Mak Records, named after his childhood hero Bruce Lee, which would later release other electro-house artists such as Bloc Party, Infected Mushroom and The Bloody Beetroots.
Scene and Heard returns bigger and louder in 2019
Following the success of their debut in Newcastle, 2018, Scene and Heard festival has announced tour dates for three locations this summer. Expanding to tropical north Queensland, Barlow Park Cairns will play host to the 2019 launch on October 27th with both local and international artistsset to take the stage.
