After the mind-blowingly successful launch in 2019 of Festival X in Australia, it is with edge of your seat excitement came the announcement that the biggest EDM festival ever seen in this country will return in 2022 and if the rumors are true bigger and better than its debut, if that is even possible.

Australia, we have some very exciting news for festivals, the Queensland based Comiskey Group has acquired a large area of land at Coochin Fields on the Sunshine Coast near Caloundra. The purchase of Coochin Fields by the Comiskey Group will bring festivals the size of which we have not seen here in Australia.

Lost Paradise have announced the dates and lineup for this year’s edition of the popular festival which will run from the 28th of December to the 1st of January 2023. Brought to us by the legends at Finely Tuned and Triple J, the festival will be held at Glenworth on the Central Coast of NSW. The lineup will include the Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X, Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane, Cub Sport, The Vanns, just to skim the list of artists and bands that will play during the five days.

Falls Festival has released its lineup and dates for this year, including two additional events added for Victoria and Western Australia. This year the festival will not only head to the traditional locale of Byron Bay, NSW. The Falls Festival will also set up camp at Birregurra, Vic and in Fremantle, WA.

Joining Ballarat and Canberra this year, Australia’s favourite music, food and art festival, Spilt Milk will also be descend on the Gold Coast for the very first time bringing with it a massive line up of international and local talent including: Flume, Hayden James, Stormzy, The Wombats, G Flip, King Stingray, Kobie Dee and The Beddy Rays.

After a two year Covid imposed hiatus, Listen Out, one of Australia’s primary national dance music festivals has revealed the dates and lineup for the 4 Listen Out shows as well as the 2 smaller Listen In events. Listen Out will once again visit Melbourne(23/09), Perth(25/09), Sydney(01/10), and Brisbane(02/10) while Listen In will descend on Adelaide(03/10) and our across the ditch neighbor’s in Auckland(30/09).

BIGSOUND, the southern hemisphere’s biggest celebration of new music, has announced its return for 2022. From the 6th - 9th of September, Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley will host the first BIGSOUND event in two years and this BIGSOUND will be bigger than ever with some awesome new additions to the festival and conference program as well as the 150+ Artists/Bands playing at 21 venues across 3 nights.
