Bliss n Eso, from the beginning have always been dedicated to their music, their fans, and and the connection the two provide. The Sydney trio have been busy since Covid restrictions have lifted with the band over half way through their national ‘The Sun’ tour, they are headlining the Homegrown Festival in Melbourne, and are also preparing for a one night only special performance titled ‘Strings Attached’ which will see the pioneers of Australian Hip Hop, team up with The Brisbane Symphony Orchestra. So while there was a break in their hectic schedule, we jumped at the chance to sit down and ask Bliss about ‘The Sun’ tour, the highlights so far in a unique career, and the dream of one day collaborating with his favourite band, OUTKAST.

You Need To Love Alex Hosking

Splitting her time between Australia, America, Europe and the UK is keeping Adelaide native Alex Hosking super busy but she wouldn’t have it any other way. The UK chart-topper has come home recently to not only see family but to launch her latest track ‘Need Your Love’ which she collaborated with legendary DJ and Producer Majestic. So before she heads back overseas we took timeout to ask Alex about the new song, the impact Covid had on writing new material and what it’s like being an Australian making music in the UK.

Infield with TENZIN

Rich in history, heritage and horses, there really is nothing like the Ipswich Cup. This is more than a horse race; it is the social day of the year for the greater Ipswich region, and culminates in the The Ipswich Cup Infield Festival. This year’s event will take place on: Saturday the 18th of June, with some of the best talent from across the country performing on the Main Stage, including Mashd n Kutcher, Moss, Kaitlyn. and Marquee’s first ever resident DJ, TENZIN. TENZIN is no stranger to big festivals or main stages having played Splendour In The Grass, Big Day Out, and the international Creamfields so it comes as no surprise he’s super keen to get back to the festival circuit now that the industry is getting back to regular events. We sat down to ask TENZIN about his preparation for the Infield Festival, the best and worst parts of festivals and how “sick” a collab with Mashd n Kutcher would be.

Screamfeeder return with new album and tour !

Legendary Rockers Screamfeeder, are releasing their new studio album Five Rooms this Friday, and the band are excited to get out and showcase the new music on their national album launch tour which kicks off in June and sees the band visit Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane with Adalita as support. The first single from Five Rooms, ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ has already received high praise within the industry and has seen a revival of interest in Screamfeeder 30 years after the release of their first album, Flour. So before the band’s schedule fills up we took time to ask Screamfeeder about the new album, playing festivals like Spring Loaded and covering Sesame St songs.

Spiderbait hits the road to celebrate Janet

Spiderbait are arguably one of the best bands to ever come out of Australia, they were the first Australian band to take out the coveted Number 1 slot in TripleJ’s Hottest 100, they’ve had a huge number 1 hit, they have played massive shows countless times to thousands of people across many countries, they have made and sold piles of records, head-lined multiple festivals and have a career longevity that other bands can only dream about and even had one of their songs feature in a video game. Spiderbait have just released their latest album ‘Sounds in the key of J’, an album of homage to their Bass player and Vocalist Janet English and before the band hits the road for their first National Tour since 2017, we had the absolute privilege to chat to Drummer/Vocalist KRAM about the new album, the bands love of Janet and the enjoyment they get playing festivals.

COFFEE time with ABROAD

Tim Wheatley is Shining in Tacoma

Tim Wheatley has a music pedigree most artists would only dream about, so it’s no surprise he became a successful musician, with a career spanning 20 years so far. April has seen Tim release the single ‘Shiny Tacoma’ of his forthcoming Ep of the same name which is out on the 19th of May via His father, Glenn’s, Wheatley Records label. We spoke to Tim about the making of Shiny Tacoma in Byron Bay, playing The Americana Festival in Nashville and being the support act for Humphrey B Bear.

The Days Sam Shinazzi Won't Forget

Sam Buckingham takes Dear John on the Road

As Sam Buckingham began pre-production for her third album ‘Dear John’, it became clear to her that she had to start again. The Byron Bay-based singer-songwriter had 12 tracks written for the album in May 2020 but after the end of a toxic, long-term relationship, Sam knew she needed a clean slate, both personally and creatively. Now the new album is out and Sam has embarked on a national tour to show everyone her “It's not a break up album, It's a wake up album”. We spoke to Sam about her latest song release ‘Run’, the ‘Dear John’ journey and how excited she is to be out on the road again.

The Journey to SHELTER

The Journey , made up of Tom Evans & Jacob Malmo are no newcomers to the House and Techno scene and their rising profile has seen them score a slot on the lineup of a brand new event for Melbourne, SHELTER.
